Privacy and consent choices

Information you give us in a request

When you request a quote or appointment we collect the details you enter: your name, email and/or phone number, contact preference, vehicle year, make and model, ZIP code, the type of location, your project notes, any budget you choose to share, appointment preferences and photos you upload. For a mobile (on-site) visit we also collect the full service address and your estimated travel distance.

We use this only to review your request, prepare a quote, schedule and perform the work, send the messages you asked for, keep business and tax records, and handle warranty or disputes. We do not sell it. Your private tracking link is the only way to view your request status; keep it private.

Mobile service address

Your service address is used by KTC to plan the trip, calculate the mileage fee and arrive on time. It is not used for advertising or analytics, and our analytics and advertising tags never receive it. Technician live location, if ever shared, is available only through a short-lived link tied to your appointment.

Measurement that never uses cookies or identifiers

To keep the site working and improve it we count, in aggregate and without identifying you, how often service pages are viewed, which request step is reached, whether the phone number is tapped, page-speed measurements, and JavaScript errors. These counts are stored without cookies, IP addresses or any identifier, and cannot be tied back to you.

Optional analytics and advertising measurement

KTC may use Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads measurement to understand which pages and ads lead to real service requests. They are off by default. Google’s scripts load only after you choose to allow them, and are not loaded at all if you choose “Essential only”. If we have not switched these tools on, this page says so below and no choice is needed.

What is collected if you allow it

• Analytics: Google Analytics cookies (for example _ga and _ga_*) and page-usage events such as which service page you viewed.
• Advertising measurement: if you arrived from a Google ad, the ad’s click identifier (gclid, gbraid or wbraid) and Google Ads cookies (for example _gcl_*). If you then submit a request, we store the click identifier with that request for up to 90 days, then delete it.
• Enhanced conversions for leads (advertising choice only): if you allow advertising measurement and your request later becomes a confirmed lead, booking, deposit or paid job, KTC may send Google a one-way scrambled (SHA-256 hashed) version of the email address and phone number you gave, together with the click identifier, the type of outcome, its time, and the amount paid for a deposit or invoice. Google uses this only to match the outcome to the ad and report on it. We never send your name, address, vehicle, notes, photos, costs or profit.
• Before any of this, tags start in a “denied” state (Google Consent Mode v2: analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization), and change only to the permissions you grant.

Your choices

You can change or withdraw your choices at any time. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we treat it as “no advertising measurement”.

Withdrawing stops further collection, deletes the Google cookies set by this site, and stops any not-yet-sent uploads that relied on your consent. Information already received by Google is governed by Google’s own privacy controls; see Google’s privacy policy and your Google account’s ad settings.

To have the advertising identifiers or hashed contact details tied to a specific request removed, or to ask what we hold about you, send a request through the request form mentioning “privacy request”, or tell us when we contact you about your service.

How long we keep things

• Advertising click identifiers and Google Analytics client identifiers saved with a request: up to 90 days, then removed automatically.
• Anonymous aggregate usage and page-speed counts: up to about 13 months.
• Service request, quote, scheduling and payment records: as long as needed for the job, warranty and legal or tax obligations.

Other things to know

• This website is intended for adults arranging vehicle work. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
• We do not use your neighborhood or ZIP code to infer income or any personal characteristic. ZIP codes are used only to check whether we can travel to you and to estimate travel.
• We will update this page when our practices change and show the date at the top.
